Shares of Chevron and Exxon Mobil are retreating Monday morning, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average selloff. Shares of Chevron
and Exxon Mobil
have contributed to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow
was most recently trading 397 points (1.6%) lower. Chevron’s shares are off $3.77 (4.3%) while those of Exxon Mobil have declined $1.75, or 4.0%, combining for a roughly 38-point drag on the Dow. American Express
are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.86-point swing.
