ISDH confirms 17 more positive cases in Indiana, state total at 56



INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Indiana State Department of Health announced 17 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the state.

Thursday’s new additions bring the state’s total to 56 positive cases.

There are 19 confirmed cases in Marion County. Howard County has the next most cases in the state with five.

On Tuesday, the ISDH announced a Johnson County adult over the age of 60 became the second person in the state to die from COVID-19.

A GoFundMe account has been created for Roberta Shelton, who was the first person in the state to die from coronavirus.

As of Thursday morning, 380 people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state — 187 more than Wednesday’s total.
