Man reportedly assaults Leander H-E-B cashier with steak, bag of lettuce

A man reportedly assaulted an H-E-B cashier when he became angry about the store’s meat purchasing limits.

According to a Facebook post by the Leander Police Department, the man threw an individually packaged steak and a bag of lettuce at a cashier at a Leander H-E-B.

He then drove away from the store in a white Ford Fusion.

The incident occured around 7:30 a.m. on May 10 and was visible on H-E-B security cameras.

The suspect has since been identified. The police department has not released the suspect’s name.
