Several Upstate BI-LO stores to become Food Lions, store officials say

Sixteen Upstate and Western North Carolina BI-LO stores will become Food Lions, after being bought out by the company, officials say.Officials with Food Lion say they are in the process of buying 62 BI-LO stores across the Carolinas and Georgia.The stores will remain open as BI-LO until the transaction is complete, which is expected to happen over a staggered period from January to April 2021.Food Lion officials say they will have more than 4,650 associate positions to serve customers.
